About the Author

Brian Yermal Jr. currently lives in Maryland and works as a copy editor in Washington, D.C. He previously worked as a copy editor and writer at the Altoona Mirror newspaper from July 2013 to February 2018.

Prior to the Mirror, Brian interned at The Daily Times newspaper in Salisbury, Maryland, as a writer.

Before moving to Maryland, Brian lived most of his life in Pennsylvania in the towns of Mountain Top, State College and Hollidaysburg.

Brian is a Penn State University alumnus from the Class of 2012 with a bachelor's degree in print journalism, and he worked as a copy editor and writing candidate for The Daily Collegian.

In his free time, Brian enjoys hiking, biking, walking, fishing, kayaking or almost any activity set in the outdoors.
